Fallen Leaves
Genre: Acoustic/ modern folk/ singer-songwriter
They say of themselves: Fallen Leaves are a trio - Matt and Rosie hail from Barrow-in-Furness and Chris, the new addition to the band is from Morecambe. The Leaves write, record and perform heartfelt songs, described by Manchester Music Magazine as 'lyrically bright and seriously happy go lucky with lovelorn undertones'. Their live performances are sometimes acoustic, and sometimes enhanced with piano, percussion and electric guitar depending on the crowd or venue.
After self-producing three EP's so far, Fallen Leaves continue to play live across the UK and are currently working on their debut album.
Press reviews: '...the pretty, flowing acoustica is of the kind that subsists on black and white French films and various cinematic moods...' Manchester Music.
'’...Fallen Leaves take grand themes such as romance, loss and a sense of nostalgia and distil them down into something delicate and tender...' Evening Mail, Barrow.

Peter Aldridge
Genre. Folk/acoustic roots.
Base. Blackburn Lancs.
Review:
'Peter Aldridge is a songwriter who asks deeper questions, and raises the doubts we all feel in a world getting more complicated. In the songs, his salvation, and ours, is to appreciate the basics and to have faith in the value of love itself. His guitar is played in strict rhythm, with an understated power and determination. It's strong stuff, mixed with delicate meditation and subtly crafted into song.' (Folk Northwest 2008)

Genre: Jazz
Based: Lancaster
The band consists Paul Froggatt on saxophones and clarinet, Mike Reynolds on keyboard and Paul Guppy on string bass. The trio performs a mixture of original material, classic standards and numbers which have an Eastern European slant.
The group doesn’t use drums, which allows the development of space within the music: the underlying drive being provided by the bass. The clarinet gives the ensemble a sophisticated and mellow touch and is aimed more at the modern jazz clarinet approach more than traditional jazz.

Occasional Rascuedos
Genre: Rock with a twist of blues funk
Based: Blackpool
Review: ”They're just brill! Blues, rock and a little of their own blend together in a fabbo set of off the wall performances where the envelope of what is and what should never be are pushed to the edge of musical criminality. A number of covers are played, delightfully, in a way that might make them unrecogniseable even to their own composers and their own compositions are wonderfully odd, you have to love Meat Pie Woman.” (Marduk, The John O’Gaunt Gauntlet Nov 2007)
